MDPE pipes can be joined using various types of fittings. In this guide we will demonstrate the two most popular options available from Pipestock, compression and push fit.

You will need…

Compression Fittings

  1. Measure, mark and cut the pipe at the desired length
  2. Insert the pipe liner into the pipe
  3. Loosen the retaining nut on the compression fitting without removing to ensure easy insertion
  4. Gently insert the pipe into the fitting, making sure to push past the o-ring seal
  5. Tighten the nut by hand then finish with a strap wrench

These easy to fit compression fittings are pressure rated to 16 bar. They are manufactured from robust polypropylene, which is resistant to stress cracking. They are demountable and reusable. Available in sizes up to 125mm.
