Description

The Geberit Mapress Copper Premounted Double Wall Plate Elbow is designed for secure and reliable connections of copper pipes to wall-mounted fixtures, such as taps or fittings, in a twin setup. With two 90-degree elbow connections integrated into a single unit, this fitting allows for easy installation of fixtures that require two outlets, such as bathroom or kitchen taps. It is ideal for use in potable water systems, as well as in open and closed heating and cooling circuits.

Key Features

  • High-Quality Gunmetal Construction: Manufactured from durable gunmetal (CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C), this double wall plate elbow is highly resistant to corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance in both potable water and heating/cooling applications.
  • Press-Fit Technology: The press-fit connection eliminates the need for welding or soldering, making installation faster, safer, and fire-free. This reduces installation time and the risk of fire hazards, particularly in residential or confined spaces.
  • Leak Detection: The fitting is designed to be leaky if unpressed, allowing installers to easily identify unpressed connections, ensuring a fully secure and reliable installation.
  • Reliable Seal: The fitting is equipped with CIIR black seal rings, ensuring a leak-proof connection that can handle the pressure and temperature demands of various systems.
  • Protected Installation: The pressing sockets are equipped with transparent protection plugs, which protect the seal rings from dirt and debris during installation. This ensures a clean and hygienic connection, which is especially important in potable water systems.
  • Premounted Design: With the double elbow premounted into a single wall plate, installation is simplified and streamlined, making it quicker to install twin outlets in walls for fixtures such as bathroom or kitchen taps.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, the Geberit Mapress Copper Premounted Double Wall Plate Elbow can be used in a variety of plumbing systems, offering flexibility and convenience for both residential and commercial applications.
  • Clear Identification: The fitting includes pressing indicators and colour-coded components to ensure installers can easily verify the correct installation and prevent confusion with third-party products.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems:
The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar.
Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system

(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems:
The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar.
Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system

(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C

(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit

(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix

(6) Approved up to d54 mm

(7) Following Geberit approval

(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"

(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
