Installation Overview

Preparation:

  • Ensure the pipe ends are clean, dry, and free from debris.
  • Cut the pipe squarely to the required length using a fine-toothed saw and remove burrs.

Assembly:

  • Slide the compression nut onto the pipe, followed by the sealing washer.
  • Insert the pipe into the fitting, ensuring a firm and secure connection.
  • Hand-tighten the compression nut to seal the joint.
  • For a more secure connection, use SL40 Spray, SG100 Tub, or SG800 Gel for lubrication.

Adjustments & Modifications:

  • If repositioning is needed, simply loosen the compression nut, adjust the fitting, and retighten.

Support & Fixing Recommendations (BS EN 12056-2):

  • Vertical installations: Secure at 1.2m intervals.
  • Horizontal installations: Secure at 0.5m intervals for 32mm & 40mm, and 0.6m for 50mm.
  • Conduct a water leak test before commissioning the system.
  • Check all compression joints to ensure they are properly tightened and sealed.
