How and Where to Install a Straight Coupling
Installing the Fernco Plumbing Straight Coupling involves:
Preparing the Pipes: Clean the ends of the pipes to ensure they are free from debris and dirt.
Aligning the Coupling: Slide the straight coupling over one end of the pipe.
Connecting the Pipes: Align the second pipe with the open end of the coupling and slide it into place to cover the joint.
Securing the Seal: Tighten the stainless steel clamp bands using a nut driver or flat-head screwdriver to the recommended torque of 6Nm.
Inspecting the Connection: After tightening, check the seal to ensure it is secure and leak-free.
