Fernco Storm-T Saddle

The Fernco (previously known as Flexseal) Storm-T saddle is a versatile and innovative fitting designed to connect lateral or branch pipes into main drain pipelines, particularly for plastic stormwater or rainwater pipes. It serves as a more flexible and efficient alternative to traditional pipe junctions, facilitating easy integration of lateral pipes into existing drainage systems.

1. Preparation: Mark and drill a 12mm pilot hole at the intended saddle position. Core the correct size hole into the host pipe and deburr and clean the hole edges.
2. Assembly: Separate the Fernco Storm-T components and fold the rubber body in half. Insert it into the hole, pulling it upwards until it engages with the pipe's internal surface.
3. Securing the Collar: Align the collar tabs with the rubber body slots. Push the tabs into the top slot of the body and continue until the collar contacts the pipe's surface.
4. Insert Installation: Apply lubricant to the insert (only on the profiled half). Align it with the collar and push it into the rubber body until fully engaged.
5. Lateral Pipe Installation: Insert the lateral pipe into the saddle, ensuring the tapered edge of the rubber sleeve does not fold back. Use lubricant if necessary.
