Useful Info:
Socket fusion welding involves the use of a hot plate to simultaneously heat the outside surface of the pipe and the inner surface of the socket fitting, for a set amount of time. When the heating is complete, both the pipe and fitting are removed from the hot plate, and the pipe is inserted into the fitting. A cooling phase follows, producing a solid and reliable weld.
